WORCESTER COUNTY STATE’S ATTORNEY’S OFFICE
COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAM

If you have been charged with a minor crime and you’ve had no prior serious offenses, you may qualify for this program.

It is completely voluntary.

You are eligible even if you do not live in Ocean City.

You must be at least 18 years old at the time your violation was committed.

Acceptance into the program is within the sole discretion of the State’s Attorney.

Drunk driving and/or drug offenses do not qualify for this program!

If you are accepted into the program you will be required to do the following:

1. Satisfactorily complete and verify a specific number of community service hours.

2. Pay a $50.00 adminstrative fee in the form of a money order made payable to Worcester County.

3. Return written verification from the place you did your community service hours and the administrative fee to the Community Service office at least 7 days before your trial date.

If you complete all the requirements, you will not have to appear in court. If you do not provide community service documentation and the fee, you must appear in court or a warrant will be issued for your arrest.
